heat cables

Rest Easy

In Central Oregon, you know the wreckage ice dams can cause, from damaged roofs and gutters, to extensive water intrusion. Webfoot’s heat cables installed along your roof's eaves and gutters are valuable insurance for your home.

How do ice dams form?

During winter, snow accumulates on roofs and melts from sunlight and your home’s interior heat. However, when the melted snow reaches the cold soffit edge, it refreezes instead of running down the gutter. As the snow continues to melt, run off the roof, and re-freeze, that ice formation will grow, preventing the newly melted water from reaching the gutters. In other words, it creates an "ice dam."
